STUDENTS at William Parker Sports College performed their Christmas show at the end of term.
The whole school took part in the show, called Dizzy December, with students doing a variety of acts, including dramatic poetry, year eight pupils having Father Christmas searching for a golden banana, year nines performing the tale of the prince with the large nose, and year 11s performing a melodrama.
Musical items included guitar and samba bands and the Parker Christmas song.
The Parkwood 6th Form drama group also performed their comical pantomime, Big Brother in Fairyland, to raise funds for charity, at the Phoenix Arts Centre.
The pantomine was set in Fairyland where no one is who they seem, such as the Ugly Sisters looking rather masculine, Tinkerbell searching for Little Red Riding Hood and everyone wanting to eat the gingerbread man.
All the usual panto figures were in the Big Brother house and chaos ensued with a comic chase gone mad.
The students also performed their piece for Dizzy December and as part of the Sixth Form has Talent show to raise money for the Quicken Trust, a charity which helps a village called Kabubbu, in Uganda.
