A fire in a playground in St Leonards was put out by firefighters last night (Monday, July 18), who believe it was started deliberately.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hastings were sent to the play park on Marline Road at around 10.40pm.

Fire crews had to use buckets of water to extinguish the ‘small’ fire, which the service claims was done on purpose.
