A TEAM of four cyclists are pedalling to Paris later this month to raise money for a cash-strapped hospice.

The group are taking part in the St Augustine’s Cycle Challenge by setting off from St Michael’s Hospice in Upper Maze Hill, St Leonards, on Thursday, May 26, and are expected to arrive in the French capital three days later. Their destination in Paris is the home of the Augustinian Sisters of the Holy Heart of Mary, whose forerunners started the St Augustine’s Nursing Home, in 1886. May 26 is also St Augustine’s day.

The cyclists will be accompanied by a support team made up of Andy and Georgina Knight. If anyone would like to sponsor them call Marcia Dart at the hospice on 01424 456381 or donate via Justgiving at www.justgiving.com/mikecooperbike.
