Crowhurst and District Horticultural Society enjoyed sunny weather when it held its Autumn Show last weekend.

Little Alice Green won the Children’s trophy for overall points during the year and John Day won Best Produce exhibits for his amazing display of vegetables.

Brian Croft won most points in the show overall. The Dahlia grower of the day was Jim Bingham - winning many awards with his magnificent blooms.

Mary Boorman won a trophy for the Best Floral Art exhibit and overall points in that section.

Society treasurer Alan Humphrey said: “Thank you to all who entered or visited the show It was a pleasure to see you all.

“The Brownies did us proud with their pretty stained glass window displays.

“Our next event will be our AGM to be held at the village hall on October 7 , which will be followed at 8pm by another informative talk on the honey bee entitled “Inside the Bee Hive !”

All are welcome to attend £4 for non-members and £2 for members.
