A PAIR of thieves stole more than £3,500 worth of ipod MP3 players from a supermarket.

The two men walked into Sainsbury’s in John Macadam Way, St Leonards, and took 22 of the items, which included Nano and Touch models, placing them in a bag.

The men entered the shop separately on Monday, March 21. but met up near the home electrical display.

Police said they were both caught on the store’s CCTV camera footage and have released photographs of the two suspects hoping the public might recognise them.

PC Chris Turner, of Hastings Police, who is investigating the thefts, said: “I’d like to appeal to anyone who saw these men in Sainsbury’s on a busy Monday, or anyone who thinks they may know who they are, or where the ipods are, to come forward and speak to me.

“If the pair see themselves in the media I would also urge them to hand themselves in at Hastings Police Station as their faces and their crime have been recorded on CCTV.”

Anyone with any information can call PC Turner on 0845 6070999.
