Teenager bitten by dog

A TEENAGER was left with minor injuries after being bitten on the leg by a dog.

The incident took place on Tuesday, September 11 at 6.30pm, when the 15-year-old boy was walking up Carisbrooke Road, St Leonards.

He was bitten on the leg by a tan and white Staffordshire bull terrier type dog.

The owner asked if the boy was ok and told the dog off for its actions but police are keen to speak to the owner or anyone who may know the man or his dog.

Police are hoping to trace the owner who is described as white, around 5ft ins, of medium build with black short hair, between 28 and 32, and wearing a green polo shirt which looked like a work T-shirt.

PC Tess Warren of Hastings Response Investigation Team said: “The boy received a minor injury in this apparently unprovoked attack but we need to speak to the owner of the dog in order to establish all the facts of the incident.”
