A St Leonards man was charged with class A drugs possession and drink driving after crashing into two parked cars early yesterday morning (Monday, September 14).

Firefighters and police were called to a three-vehicle crash on Fernside Avenue, St Leonards at 12.15am.

Steven Spurdens, of Edinburgh Road, was arrested and subsequently charged with driving whilst unfit through drink and possession of a class A drug.

The 39-year-old driver was bailed to appear before magistrates on 30 September.

There were no injuries.
