DETECTIVES want to speak to a man they believe may have some vital information relating to the attempted kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl.
They want to contact a man they believe may have witnessed suspicious activity around the same time as the youngster’s ordeal on Tuesday December 27.
Detective inspector, Mark O’Brien said: “This person, who appears to be a man, was captured on CCTV walking west along Eversfield Road at around 10am.
“He passed a hatchback style car that was parked at the kerbside. But when he reaches the pedestrian crossing he is seen to stop, turn 180 degrees and look back at the parked car.
“We would urge this person to please come forward as a matter of urgency as we believe they may hold some important information that could help officers with the investigation.
“We would also like to speak to anyone else who was walking along Eversfield Road at around 10am and noticed anything or anyone acting suspiciously. Please call 101 quoting Operation Bluebell or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
