A PAIR of men arrested after the recent blaze on Hastings Pier have been rebailed by police.
The 18-year-old and 19-year-old, both from St Leonards, were arrested on suspicion of arson shortly after the seafront fire started back on October 5.
Both were quizzed by police in the direct aftermath but released on bail. This week that bail was extended until January 24 for the 18-year-old and January 25 for the 19-year-old.
The Victorian attraction was almost completely destroyed in the fire, which needed dozens of firefighters to be brought under control.
Police are still investigating the blaze, which ruined more than 90 per cent of the pier and left renovation plans in tatters, and anyone who has any information is urged to contact officers by ringing 0845 60 70 999 or anonymously on 0845 60 70 999.
