Hastings town centre remains closed as army bomb disposal experts prepare to deal with a suspicious package today (December 11).

She also sent us a picture of a helicopter flying over Hastings but it did not land and it is unclear whether its presence was connected to the ongoing incident.

A reporter at the scene said at 1.15pm a member of the explosive ordnance disposal team appeared to be getting ready to deal with the suspicious package.
