TWO men robbed another man of his mobile phone and wallet as he walked alone in St Leonards on Saturday afternoon.
The 41-year-old victim was passing through the park area at Quarry Hill at around 3.45pm when the pair approached from behind before holding a sharp object to his neck.
His wallet and mobile phone were stolen from him. The man was not injured and the two thieves made off towards Brittany Road.
The first suspect is described as black, aged in his early 20s, 6ft 2ins tall, of muscular build with short dark hair
He wore a baseball cap, black Adidas top and bottoms with stripes down the leg and spoke with a Cockney accent.
The second was white man, 5ft 8ins tall, with short blonde hair. It was long on top which went down into a V shape at the back and shaved round the back and sides.
He wore a short sleeved grey top and black bottoms.
Detective Constable Naomi Morrison, who is investigating, said: “At the time of the offence there was a couple with a buggy sat on a nearby bench who may have seen what happened.
“We are appealing for them to come forward and any other witnesses who may have information. Call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1202 of 23/06.”
