A HASTINGS man was arrested and later bailed on suspicion of murdering a man in Hailsham during a fight.
The 20-year-old suspect was arrested on Wednesday morning and taken into custody for questioning into the death of Darren Croxton.
Mr Croxton, 25,was found collapsed in Bramble Drive, Hailsham around 4.30pm on Sunday.
He had been stabbed in the groin area and died on Monday morning in the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Detectives do not know the exact type of knife used but believe the blade was at least 4in long.
Mr Croxton lived in The Diplocks, Hailsham, and had a daughter.
A 16-year-old boy was charged on Wednesday with his murder.
The teenager appeared before magistrates’ at Eastbourne Youth Court yesterday and remanded into a Young Offenders Institute until February 23.
Another 16-year-old boy, arrested on Tuesday and the Hastings man were both bailed by police with conditions.
Detective chief inspector Jeff Riley said: “This is a fast-paced investigation and I would urge anyone with information to come forward.”
