THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
The men, all wearing brightly coloured clothing were seen to be behaving suspiciously at a derelict property in Amherst Road, St Leonards on Monday (September 3), and two were seen to jump over the property’s fence.
Police were called and the three were stopped and arrested at 11.55am.
A 19-year-old man from St Leonards, a 19-year-old man from Wadhurst and a man aged 24 from St Leonards were all arrested on suspicion of burglary, questioned and bailed until Wednesday, October 10.
Inspector Paul Phelps said: “This was a great result and my thanks to the people who phoned police as soon as they saw this alleged crime take place. Their fast thinking meant police were able to make prompt arrests.”
