Man stabbed in St Leonards public toilets

A man was stabbed in public toilets in St Leonards on Thursday morning (August 27) and police are appealing for witnesses.

A 43-year old man sustained several stab wounds while in the toilets in Cross Street at about 10.45am.

He was treated for his injuries at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and was discharged on Sunday (August 30).

Detective constable Ian Dearling said: “This was a serious assault and we would appeal to any members of the public who witnessed the attack or who saw part of it to come forward and help us prosecute those responsible.

“We believe this was an isolated attack and are keen to talk to anyone who can assist.
