Man sentenced over double Hastings burglaries

A man has been sentenced to 40 weeks over two house burglaries in Hastings.

Jack Tyler appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Wednesday, September 17).

The 22-year-old pleaded guilty to taking without consent, driving without due care and attention, driving whilst disqualified, driving without an MOT, driving without insurance and driving without protective headgear in Malvern Way on July 8.

He was detained on Tuesday hours after police issued a £500 reward for information concerning his whereabouts for questioning.
