A man seen exposing himself in the garden of a house in Hastings may have committed similar offences before.

He was spotted by a woman who was awoken in her home in Silverlands Road at around 4.30am on Sunday (May 3) and saw him when she looked out of the window.

She shouted to her daughter to call the police and the man fled.

He is described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s, of slim build and wearing a grey tracksuit.

Sergeant Paul Elrick said: “This is the fourth report of a man exposing himself in recent weeks.

“Previously, reports were received from the Castle ward area in February and March.

“This was a very alarming experience and I know that people will be concerned.

“We are doing all we can to find this man; officers were quickly on the scene and searched the area, but we do need the public’s help.

“On this occasion, the woman did exactly the right thing in calling police on 999 immediately and I would urge anyone else to do the same.

“If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area in the early hours of Sunday morning or you have any other information about the offender, please email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 221 of 03/05.”
