A DRUNK man pushed another man inside a nightclub after seeing him kiss his girlfriend.
David Roberts, 25, of Chamberlain Road, St Leonards, saw red while he was waiting outside Fluid for her on Saturday night.
At a court hearing on Monday, Jeremy King, prosecuting, said Roberts was barred from entering Fluid but went inside.
He said: “The defendant was seen pushing a woman out of the way and grab a man by the shirt. He was highly agitated and had to be restrained by police using Captor spray.”
The court heard Roberts is due to be sentenced on January 25 at Lewes Crown Court for grievous bodily harm (GBH). He pleaded guilty to one charge of using threatening abusive words and behaviour likely to cause fear of violence when he appeared in the dock on Monday.
Sam Wingfield, defending, said: “He had been out with his brother that night and drank too much. He got a call from his girlfriend asking to be collected from the nightclub and was waiting outside the door.
“Unfortunately his girlfriend of three years gave a man in the club a passionate kiss and the defendant ran inside, grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and pushed the woman. He accepts that his behaviour was not right.”
Magistrates adjourned the case for sentencing until January 27.
