A MAN walked into a betting shop in Hastings and stole cash after telling staff he had a weapon in his coat pocket.
The robber entered Corals in Queen’s Road around 8.40pm on Tuesday and threatened two female staff members by indicating he had a weapon in his coat pocket.
The women handed over the contents of the cash till before the suspect made off in the direction of Robertson Street.
Detective sergeant Mick Burnage from East Sussex CID said: “This was a traumatising experience for the staff, who despite this have provided police with detailed accounts.
“Fortunately neither of them were injured and no customers were in the premises at the time of the incident.”
The suspect is described as white, late 20s of slim build with pale skin and was wearing blue jeans and trainers.
