Man found with serious head injury has died

A ST LEONARDS man found with a serious head injury in the road in Bexhill early yesterday (Sunday) morning has died in hospital.

Emergency services were called to Kings Close at 12.19am, and the 38-year-old was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and later transferred to Hurstwood Park Hospital in Haywards Heath where his condition was described as critical. He died last night.

Detective Inspector Andy Harbour from East Sussex CID said: “At this stage, there is no clear indication how the victim has suffered these injuries and I would like to hear from anyone who may be able to assist us in this direction.
