A MAN was assaulted and had his mobile phone stolen as he walked past a pub.
The 20-year-old was walking past a pub in Queens Road on Friday, September 14, at 2.40pm, when the attack took place.
He was shouted at by two men and an argument followed which resulted in the victim being hit on the head and his mobile phone stolen.
The victim had a sore head but needed no hospital treatment.
A 24-year-old man from Hastings, was arrested on suspicion of theft including handling.
He was questioned and bailed until Monday October 1.

PC Tarn Maley, said: “This happened in the afternoon at a busy time of day. Potentially a lot of people may have witnessed this incident.”
