Jewellery stolen in Hastings house burglary

A load of jewellery was stolen in a house burglary in Hastings on Tuesday (December 6), police said.

Two men were disturbed in one of the bedrooms of a property on The Croft when the occupant who had just returned home at about 3pm, according to police.

A police spokesman said the suspects fled the scene via the rear of the house and made off in the direction of the Old Town – they stole various items of jewellery of unknown value.

The two men are both described as being white, of slim build, aged between 18 and 22, with short dark hair and wearing all dark clothing.

One was about 5’ 8”; the other was about 5’ 10”.
