Hastings man in court over acid attack

A Hastings man accused of throwing acid in the face of a Cornwall businessman appeared at Truro Crown Court today (Monday, April 20).

David Phillips, 48, pleaded not guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent at the hearing.

Phillips of Barley Lane, Hastings, is accused of throwing acid in the face of Andreas Christopheros at his home in Truro on December 9.

A three-day trial is due to be held at Truro Crown Court starting on June 8.

Phillips was remanded in custody.
