MILK for a young child and a pensioner was swiped by a thief.
Three families in Sedlescombe Gardens, St Leonards, woke up to discover they could not have their morning tea or coffee and cereal after finding milk was missing from their doorsteps.
The pensioner was aged 80 and the child is on a special diet meaning he has to have certain specific dairy products.
The thief struck on Thursday, January 27. Police said there have been thefts in the past in the same area.
PCSO John Tucker and PC Emma Basson are now asking residents to be on the look-out.
The thefts come the same week that police are urging residents with outside fridges in their garages to lock up as thieves have been stealing food stored inside.
PC Duncan Cleverley, of Hastings Police, said: “Although these thefts are not high value, they are thefts from the elderly and vulnerable. My colleagues would like to catch those responsible.” Call Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999.
