Bus windows smashed in St Leonards

Four windows were smashed on a bus in St Leonards-on-Sea on Monday evening (September 21).

The bus, which was carrying passengers, appears to have been targeted as it travelled southbound on Tile Barn Road just before 7.30pm.

The offside windows shattered but remained intact and none of the four occupants were injured.

But they were all very alarmed by the incident.

When the windows were examined later, small holes were found, which are thought to be the reason that they broke.

However no projectiles were found lodged in the glass or inside the bus.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area, close to an alleyway leading to Harvey Close, around that time.
