Crime and safety issues will be in the spotlight at Hastings Town Hall on Friday (March 6) at 10.30am.
A free event being held by Hastings and St Leonards Seniors’ Forum will feature a talk by Mike Fagan, manager of Safer Hastings Partnership, who will also answer questions.
PC Nick Marriott, of Sussex Police, is bringing along leaflets and will answer questions relating to crime and safety issues in the town centre.
Paul Broadhurst, chairman of the seniors’ forum’s crime and safety special interest group, said: “The event is a follow up to the previous one but this time Mike Fagan will be speaking about the work of the Safer Hastings Partnership.
“Going by comments made to me, many people are not aware that it exists.”
Paul said that the Town Hall lift is working again so the event will be held in the Council Chamber.
Free tea and coffee will be provided to visitors and members of the forum.
Hastings and St Leonards Seniors’ Forum has a membership of almost 1,000 and is an organisation for the over 50s.
Last year the forum celebrated its 10th anniversary with a party in the summer. For more information about the forum visit www.hssf.org.uk.
