THE county council wants to hear from anyone affected by flooding in 1066 Country as it looks to shore up its anti flood strategies.
Parts of St Leonards around Stonehouse Drive were left under several feet of water after the severe floods in the summer of 2009, which left residents counting the cost to homes and businesses and pointing angry fingers at the authorities.
Now they will get their chance to air their views as East Sussex County Council is inviting them to a public consultation in a bid to understand the impact localised flooding has on communities.
The drop-in session takes place at Hastings town hall between 3pm and 7.30pm on Friday January 21. Residents can also share their experiences by filling an online form available at www.eastsussex.gov.uk/haveyoursay - the closing date for completed forms is March 31.
