HASTINGS hosts all manner of weird and wonderful charity fundraisers - but an event later this year will see a barmy group of women brave the autumn chill in their birthday suits.
The all-female charity skinny dip will be in aid of Help for Heroes, the charity that supports British servicemen and women injured in the line of duty and their families.
It will take place on September 4 in a secret location in Hastings and organisers are hoping as many women as possible sign up for the unusual challenge.
Paula Styles, who dreamt up the event, said: “This is an appeal for women to join me - do more than bake a cake but not as strenuous as climbing a mountain. How brave are you, and what’s brave about stripping off and going for a swim? The men and women that have been maimed for our safety and freedom - that’s really brave.”
