TRADERS and businesses in St Leonards put on a Christmas show for shoppers on Saturday.
Many local shops were decorated for the festive season with some fantastic displays around the whole of St Leonards shopping area.
There was music from the Expedient Brass Band and singing to get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
This was followed by a spectacular projection on several buildings in Kings Road by international artist Steve Geliot.
Cllr Jeremy Birch, leader of Hastings Borough Council, said: “This was a fantastic effort by the local traders and the community to welcome everyone to shop in St Leonards and take a look at what has changed, and I am very pleased that the council was able to support this initiative.
“This really is a hidden gem, there is something for everyone here, from picking up some unique gifts, popping into the free art galleries, or enjoying fresh coffee, bread and food at the many independent outlets.
“We really want to encourage residents from the rest of the town, and visitors, to come and see what is on offer in this unique shopping area.”
