YOUNG patients are helping to spread the word of maintaining good hand hygiene in hospital.

Children on Kipling Ward at the Conquest were asked to design a poster focusing on the promotion of good hand hygiene.

The competition was held by the hospital trust’s infection control team.

Children on Friston Ward at Eastbourne DGH, the trust’s sister hospital, also took part. The winners of the under-nines category were Joseph Martin and Carys Keeley and the winners of the nine years and over category were Tilly-May and Ellie-Rose O’Shea. Posters will be distributed around both hospitals and displayed on all the wards.
