Charity raises over £600 for sick children

A NEWLY-FORMED charity in Hastings raised more than £600 at a recent horse racing night.

Charity for Kids, set up by Paul Harris and Carl Denne to help sick children, staged the event at the Kings Head pub in Rye.

The evening was finished off by a 70s and 80s disco.

Mr Harris said: “We would like to thank the Kings Head for providing the venue along with Graham Hodgson and Shirley Worboys, of Hastings Happy Crew who made the event go off with a bang.”

Charity for Kids is holding a fundraising tomboogie dance event at William Parker Sports College on Saturday, December 10, from 10am to noon. Tickets are £5 for adults and £1 for children.
