A GROUP of six cyclists pedalled from Hastings and Paris to raise money for charity.

Frank Witcombe, Terry Adams, David Witcombe, Scott Thirkettle, Sam Grain, and 15-year-old William Parker student, Keir Hutchinson started their trip on Friday, July 5 and arrived home three days later.

The team trained for several months before heading out.

In between cycling they managed to squeeze in a spot of educational sightseeing visiting the Dieppe Canadian War Cemetery, Hautot-sur-Mer and later in the journey the palace of Versailles.

They have raised more than £300 so far for St Michael’s Hospice and are aiming to get £600 in total. To donate log onto www.justgiving.com/teams/franksfrenchfollowers.
