A number of new chalets along the seafront were damaged last week due to high tides and strong winds.
The damage occurred last Thursday night (October 9).
Councillor Dawn Poole, Hastings Borough Council’s lead member for leisure and amenities, said: “Some of the new chalets we put in earlier this year did unfortunately suffer minor damage with the high tides and strong winds experienced last Thursday night, with one being blown over.
“Ironically they were due to be moved into storage for the winter at the end of the month anyway, but we are now arranging for them all to be removed in the next few days, and repaired.
“They were provided in response to the demand for seasonal and affordable chalets, costing just £40 - £50 per week, and have proved to be very popular.
“They will be back in May next year.”
