Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to after a man was attacked with a pool cue at a St Leonards pub.

The victim, a 44-year-old, needed 29 stitches following the assault at The Duke in Duke Road in Silverhill on March 29.

Police said the assault happened at around 11.10pm following a pool match between the victim and the offender. An argument broke out before the man was hit around the face with the cue.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to a deep cut above his right eye, which required stitches.
