It was another year of fierce competition and you voted in your droves but this year’s Chip Shop of the Year winner has been revealed.
The Old Town Fryer has been named the winner of this year’s competition – its second win in as many years – with everyone at the popular chippy delighted with the win.
“The staff at the Old Town Fryer would like to thank all of our regular and new customers for nominating and voting for us in this year’s Chip Shop of the Year competition,” said Derman Caparoglu from the chip shop.
“Without the support of our customers we would not have been able to achieve this award.
“This is the second year in a row that we have won and we aim to continue to serve our great fish and chips to anyone who visits.
“We have seating across two floors, a boat for children to enjoy their meal in as well as outside seating and a takeaway, after all who can resist chips in a cone and a stroll down the beach?
“Our friendly staff will always try to accommodate for everyone who visits no matter how busy we are.
“We also have vegetarian options and a children’s menu.
“So if you’re in the local area come and give us a visit and we can assure you, you will not be disappointed!
“And don’t forget your flyer if you’re a returning customers for your free drink with every meal. Once again, many thanks to every one who voted for us this year and last!”
Congratulations to the winners from all of us at the Observer.
