Boy caught with 34 wraps of drugs

A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was found with 34 wraps of class A drugs after receiving a tip off from a worried resident in St Leonards.

Officers who responded to the call found a boy matching the suspect’s description in Hollington Old Lane and detained him

A search revealed 34 wraps, believed to contain Class A drugs, which the boy is thought to have been dealing. He was arrested on suspicion of dealing class A drugs. After being interviewed, he was released on bail until Sunday, 15 June while enquiries continue.

PC Grant Freeman, of the Hollington Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The information that led to this arrest came in directly to our team from a concerned resident. I can’t stress enough how important it is for people to talk to their local officers about what happens in their area.”
