THE body of a shopkeeper missing for four-and-a-half months has been found in a hedgerow.
Steven Ridgley, 46, who owned SJ Cash and Exchange in Castle Street, was last seen on January 18 and police announced this week that his body had been found in Broad Oak Park last month.
He was said to have become depressed after the death of a close friend and his death is not being treated as suspicious.
Mr Ridgley, of Bexhill, is survived by Sue - his wife of 16 years - and their three children, Ben, 15, Max, 13 and Emily, 12.
Mrs Ridgley said: “Steve was loved and adored by his family.
“We enjoyed many fabulous holidays together with our three children and some wonderful memories that will be with us forever.”
The funeral will take place at St Augustine’s Church, Cooden Drive, on Thursday (June 9) at 1pm.
