Last Saturday saw Bicycle Ballet, the penultimate event of the Stade Saturday’s programme, at the Stade open space.

The mass performance was the result of a number of workshops that engaged local cyclists, supporters and partners produced by KP projects and highlighted dance, circus and physical theatre with visual spectacle and comedy.

Cllr Jeremy Birch who attended the show commented:

“This was an interesting and exciting performance using unexpected choreography on bicycles and it was good to see both performances so well supported. These free events at the Stade on Saturday evenings have given residents and visitors alike a real variety of entertainment throughout the spring and summer seasons”

The Stade Saturday programme culminates this Saturday with ‘She Adores’, a smooth pop duo from London comprising singer/songwriter Nat and multi- instrumentalist Toshi. This performance will launch the two week annual Afrikaba festival, which has a packed programme of events to celebrate Black History Month.
