A NEW illuminated artwork in situ throughout the festive period references compassion and mortality and the multiple meanings of a single sentence.

Jesus Wept by Colin Booth, a St Leonards-based sculptor, is a neon text installation located in The SPACE, in Kings Road, St Leonards, until January 8, and references the shortest sentence in the King James Bible.

Colin said: “It refers to mortality and the fragility of life but it also has a more prosaic, secular interpretation.”
