Two people have been arrested following reports that two men were held against their will at an address in Hastings.

Police were called to Milward Road in the early hours of Wednesday morning (April 27).

The police helicopter was called in for back up and firefighters from Bohemia Fire Station were also called to the scene just after 2am.

The crew used an aerial ladder platform to help officers to get one man down from a rooftop.

A spokesperson from Sussex Police told the Observer: “Enquiries are continuing into the surrounding circumstances.

“Two people are currently in police custody for various offences relating to the incident.”

The spokesperson added the force could not release any further information at this time.
