Appeal for witnesses as St Leonards cyclist is critically ill.

Police are seeking witnesses to an incident in St Leonards in which a man came off his cycle and has serious injuries.

Just after 4pm on Friday (July 10) in Telford Lane at the junction with Battle Road, St Leonards, the 52 year old local man fell from his pedal cycle. No one else is believed to have been involved.

The Air Ambulance attended but he was taken by land ambulance to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings with serious head injuries. He has since been transferred to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where he is currently in a critical condition.

Sergeant Richard Hobbs said, “We are appealing for anyone who saw the man fall from his bike or saw him in the moments beforehand, to contact us via collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call on 101 quoting serial 1077 of 10/07.”
