FANS of the Fab Four will be flocking to the White Rock Theatre this Sunday for the 12th annual Beatles Day fundraiser.
Hundreds of musicians will take part in the 10-hour, two-stage extravaganza, including local legends Liane Carroll, Blair, Pass The Cat and the ever-popular 1066 Rockitmen.
They will be joined by some of the country’s best Beatles tribute acts, such as The Electric Beatles and the Prefab Four.
And another highlight will be the star turn from the hugely talented Brooke Sharkey – back by popular demand following a show-stealing performance last time round.
Eact act is tasked with breathing new life into Beatles classics – and each year the acts get more competitive, hoping to outdo others with a new take on an old favourite, or a blast of a more obscure number.
Since it started, Beatles Day has raised tens of thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support and organisers are hopeful of another bumper year after a record-breaking amount last time round. Tickets cost £10, or £5 for under 14s, and a family of two adults and three children can get in for £25.
Revellers can come and go as they please and tickets are available on the door with acts getting under way at noon. Brooke Sharkey appears on the main stage around 3.20pm, and a full line-up is available online at www.hastingsbeatlesday.org.uk.
