Internationally acclaimed trumpeter Crispian Steele-Perkins, accompanied by Leslie Pearson, will perform a Celebrity Recital 2013 concert in memory of Mark Tancock, in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.
The two-hour concert will showcase popular tunes ranging from Glen Miller to Hollywood hits, from Handel to swing.
The show will also launch Crispian and Leslie’s new album and will feature tracks from the CD entitled, Movie Classics.
Crispian is one of the world’s best known trumpet soloists and his show will cover classic and modern pieces.
Crispian played the theme tune to The Antiques Roadshow, and has also recorded pieces for Dr Who and movies including James Bond’s For Your Eyes Only, Jaws, Batman and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
Crispian will be launching his new CD at the concert, with a donation for each CD sold coming to St Michael’s.
Leslie Pearson is one of Britain’s most distinguished keyboard players.
On the concert platform and in commercial studios his performances and compositions have entertained millions, most famously in the film Four Weddings and a Funeral and the TV series Dr Who, Poirot as well as Lovejoy.
He regularly played at Buckingham Palace for the late Queen Mother and HRH Prince Charles at whose recent wedding he also participated.
The show will take place at St Mary-in-the-Castle, Pelham Arcade, Hastings, at 7pm on Saturday, April 6.
