PUPILS at a primary school spent the week developing a flavour for French culture.
Children from St Leonards School started each morning with croissants, chocolate and orange juice, just like our neighbours across the Channel and studied the geography of France.
Enthusiastic Francophiles tried out their language skills by learning a few French words, cooked and tasted French food, painted in the style of Renoir and built models of the Eiffel Tower. Some lessons were also taught in French.
The final day saw children going to school dressed in red, white and blue a la francais.
