Police in Brighton are warning people to avoid "tombstoning" after a number of reports of people jumping into the sea to cool off in the hot weather.
Many injure themselves jumping into the sea from Brighton Palace Pier or the walls by the city's marina.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: "It is only a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt or killed."
