I was lucky enough to be in the same clasa as Luke at William Parker. He was always a good class mate and always had time for his friends, its with great sadness I hear of his passing so early in life.
My sincerest feelings for his family at this tragic time.
Rest in peace my friend.

I knew Luke in my teens and was shocked this morning to hear the awful news. He was a great fun loving guy who was loved by all who knew him. My deepest condolences to the Veness family.

I was fortunate enough to know Luke at Hastings College and I am deeply shocked to read the news of his passing this morning. Luke was a bright, caring and very funny person who I'm certain will leave a big hole in many lives. My thoughts are with his family.

So sorry to hear this sad news. I went to Hastings college with Luke back in the early 90's . He was such a lovely guy. I remember he used to let me drive his car when I was still learning to drive and we had such a laugh. I have very happy memories of that time.
My thought are with his family.

God bless Luke XX

I am deeply shocked and saddened by this tragic news.
I have very fond memories of Luke when we worked as Lifeguards at Crowhurst Park in Battle. Luke was full of fun and I feel so lucky to of known him.
My heart goes out to his family at this difficult time. He will be very sadly missed by everyone that knew him.

I did not know Luke all that well. I did however spend alot of time speaking to him one evening at Crowhurst. Where he regularily went with others from Hastings AC. I was finding out about his previous achievments and gaining some training tips. I was deeply shocked when I heard the news, as was everybody at Hastings Athletics Club. Id like to wish you and your family all the best. Jason
