The hotel's Garden Restaurant was full for the event, which was organised by Teresa Gillam at the Eastbourne Herald.
More than 200 people attended the award ceremony. The Eastbourne Business Awards being well established attracts a large number of applications from local businesses, making it a difficult job for the event sponsors and judges to choose their winners.
Television presenter Fred Dinenage hosted the awards and interviewed the winners.
Guest Speaker Jim Edgar, Managing Director of CMS had a chance to give us an insight to Europe's leading provider of engineering service solutions.
And chairman of CMS Adrian Teulon took home the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Adrian has devoted an extraordinary amount of time and energy to his business over the past years whilst continuing to contribute to the local community and a number of different charities.
Overall Business of the Year was given to HMD Sealless Pumps Ltd, carrying the name of Eastbourne across America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and China. HMD designed the original technology that is now used across the industry.
