CHILDREN and young people have this week had their say over plans for seafront play areas.

The display, at Priory Meadow Shopping Centre, Hastings, showcased design options for three potential new play spaces and members of the public including children, were invited to make comments and suggestions on each design.

Councillor Trevor Webb, lead member for Leisure, said: “Last year we asked play space users what they would like to see in our play areas. With information from that exercise we asked three designers to come up with some ideas and the displays today are what they produced.

“It was great to see so many young people getting involved and letting us know what kinds of things they’d like to see. Their comments will go a long way in helping us make decisions about the future of play in Hastings and St Leonards.”
