LGBT people asked to share their experiences

FEBRUARY is national lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans (LGBT) history month, and local people are invited to share their experiences and views by completing an online survey.

The LGBT Equalities Forum for Hastings, Rother, and East Sussex, is running an anonymous online questionnaire open to anyone who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or trans, as well as those who would say they are queer, questioning or use another definition.

It can be found at www.surveymonkey.com/s/lgbthastingsandrother, until February 29.

The questionnaire takes up to an hour to complete, and covers topics including homophobia, biphobia and transphobia, what life is like in your area as an LGBT person, and what you think of the new legal rights that you have been given.

The LGBT Equalities Forum will also run a drop-in session, at which LGBT people can have access to computers and help to fill in the questionnaire. This will be held on February 25 at the University of Brighton campus in Havelock Road, from 11am to 3pm.
