Bexhill Widows, Widowers and Over 55’s Single’s Group

We would like to start by thanking all our current members for their continuing support. We look forward to this coming year and the hope of more members joining us.

2012 closed with celebrations for Christmas a Tinsel and Turkey Break at Bognor Regis the last week of November. Our annual formal Dinner and Dance at Highwoods Golf Club on December 4 was another great evening, also the club Christmas Party at the Royal British Legion Hall in Bexhill. Each of these evenings proved to be most enjoyable by those who attended.

Unfortunately during the year we lost eight of our members all of whom will be sadly missed, but we were pleased to contribute to their chosen charities.

Our own charity is The Chestnut Tree House Childrens Hospice which we were pleased to raise nearly £1,000 for last year with bring and buys and raffles etc.

We started the new year with a Cheese and Wine Party and look forward to enjoying many more evenings of fun and pleasure.

There is a holiday planned for March to Newquay and a number of day trips have been organised throughout the year which are open to anyone who would like to join them.

The success of the club relies on regular visits of the members to fund the special evenings that are arranged with professional musicians and Supper evenings.

We continue to meet on Tuesdays at 7.30pm at Bexhill Royal British Legion and all widows, widowers and over 55 singles are welcome to join us for a social evening each Tuesday.

Any enquiries can be made to Pauline 01424 712803 (social secretary) or Graham 07769 270276.
