Civil Service Retirement Fellowship
WE met at All Saints Hall on March 18 at 10am. We began with coffee, then the Chairman, John Hall, gave out notices and information of trips that may be organised if members would like them arranged.
We then listened to Speaker, Neil Millington, who entertained us for about an hour with anecdotes that had occurred during his career as a PC in the Police Force in Eastbourne, Bexhill and Hastings. Most of them were comical. He came to the conclusion that common sense was the most valuable thing needed to be a Policeman.
His talk was enjoyed by all present and we will hope for a return of this gentleman next year.
We next meet on the third Tuesday in April (15th) at 10am at All Saints Hall, Hastings Old Town.
Any ex-Civil Servants and friends would be warmly welcomed.
